Totally did not expect everything to be canon with the rest of the Child's Play movies that have come out over the last few decades which I've loved watching since I was a kid. They even got mostly all the original cast which is nuts!
Also, this show couldn't have come at a better time. The new younger cast was great and the writing totally fits my type of dark humor. You never know who is going to get killed in each episode so don't get too comfortable liking any characters. This dude Chucky is crazy brutal and doesn't give af.
So glad they already announced a season 2. Guess I'll go back and watch some of the older movies again to refresh my memory.
